Would it really improve ...

I read an article in a recent vogue magazine and when asked what Cameron Diaz would have to make her life better, she stated a child would improve it.
So I started thinking what was it, that would make my life better, but I found myself not knowing.
So tell be bloggers, what would make your life better?
Would it be a child like Cameron, or something completely different? a relationship?, more money?, more friends?, better friends?, eternal happiness? Or even a new life?.
But whatever it is, just stop, and think.
Is the key to making your life better, out of reach? A fantasy? A mere dream? as more of a want than a need.
Well whatever it is, maybe its right, or maybe you should reconsider?
So at this moment, when I’m asked "what would make my life better?" my answer would be... to make my life better, I would like to know what i need first, then get back to me :)

Advice from friends...

I’ve spoken a lot about my own views, and only given my own advice, so i thought it was time to share something that others have told me... it could come in use for you one day..

2 guys, one I’ve known for 5 years and the other one I’ve known for just over one year, both gave me two completely different pieces of advice, one being very inspirational and the other being very factual. Both pieces helped me in different ways.

"Always reach for the stars, because even if you fall, your guaranteed to land on the clouds"

"Look, Shit happens, and the best way to deal with it, is to flush!"
I’ve known both of these guys for a while, and they only told me these pieces of advice less than a month ago, and this got me wondering, where was this advice when i needed it most?

Are we as people, so wrapped up in thinking that our own advice is best? Maybe we should take some time out to actually listen to what others around us have to say? This could help us in the long run, and avoid us saying “So you tell me this now!"
So here’s a thought for you all, if we had the chance to do our lives over, and consider listening to others from the beginning, how different would our lives be, and even so, would we be different people?

Leaving and growing up

Today we got our leavers jumpers, and it got me to realise wow were going into the world and expecatiations are now high, and i was always told that we will Save the world, conquer the universe and live happily ever after, simple right? That’s what we want to believe, correct?, like we were 5 again, when we get told, don’t talk to strangers, always tell the truth, and one day you will meet prince charming and live a wonderful life, but no one warned us about what “real” life is all about. No one would tell us stories about Santa one day and then the next day tell us we would probably get heartbroken, no one prepared us for the reality of life and how that. when we get to the age of 16 that we would forget the feeling of not being tired, or how when we are 16 we should immediately be sent into the world to start job hunting and how we are expected to become adults, growing up is the thing that frightens us all but the thing that scares me the most is the thought that if were this stressed, worried and had so much life experience already, than how will be in 10 years to come? Is our generation growing up way before our time?

Beauty, Lies and Truth..

I’ve been having consultations for my braces, but when it was discovered I have a tooth impacted in my face (yes I know =/) it meant surgery was needed, and due to the surgeon specializing in Maxiofacial, it meant he was more bothered about what my face looked like than the teeth in my face haha ..
This made me realize, this surgeon was going to be reconstructing my whole jaw and face, he wanted to and I quote "give me Madonna’s jaw line", then it struck me, people out there would pay thousands to resemble a celebrity somehow, through surgery, and this surgeon wants to do this to me, for free.
so this then got me thinking today was the whole idea behind beauty, how much people would go to make them self "Beautiful" I mean yes everyone can be beautiful on the inside but I’m talking about beauty of the outside, and how I’ve always been told that Truth, is Beauty, but isn’t Beauty on skin, a lie? isn’t it just that, that covers up all our flaws and lies for us. So if truth is beauty, but beauty is a lie? Confused ?...doesn’t make sense, does it ?

Dreams...

Just a little thought for you guys...
So we all have a dream, or well we dream, to work out whatever our dream will be one day, but the basic dream we all hope for is to be happy, to find that guy, or girl, finish school and become successful.. That’s normally the jist of the dream anyway. But when we get to that dream and start to live it, and realize it’s not what we hoped for… well we are human, and we all start to find a new dream and hope for something else, because when we realize are dream is more of a nightmare, we convince our self that the reality of life is far better than the dream, but the hero’s out there, the people who are the most willing to fight for something, hold onto that nightmare, and hope some way or another it will turn around into a peaceful dream again, whereas the rest of us, who aren’t as strong willed, we turn to a fresh dream that we have never considered before. We awake to find ourselves against all odds, feeling hopeful. And if we’re lucky, we realize, in the face of everything, in the face of life, the true dream, is being able to dream, at all.

Habits

Without habits we wouldn't get nicknamed, we wouldnt get sterotyped, we wouldnt get shouted at, but we wouldnt be us. For instance i have a friend who drums his fingers on the table when he's in a music mood, its a habit that can get extremely annoying considering most of the time he has the lyrics of a beetles song running through his head, but without that little habbiy, that tiny bit that adds to him as a person, he wouldn't be the whole person we know of him today.

Then theres the little habbits that not alot of people pick up, as were so used to it, like when people bite their nails, possiably the biggest habit of most people, and as were so used to that as a general habit we just look past it, as we think these type of things are expected. but sometime the expected makes someone or somthing boring, we know people so well, and wait around for them to do somthing, we would expect, but if we really look at it, the person as a whole, the expectation we have, makes life a tad boring down you think?. Sometimes and well most of the time, the expected simply pales in comparison to the unexpected. you have to wonder why we cling to out expectations. Because the expected is just what keeps us steady....stable... standing still. The expected is just the beginning. The unexpected ... is what changes our lives.
